This policy explains how OAKWYN CORP. (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit the Bassurito website, try the demo, join our email list, or buy Bassurito.

Bassurito is offered to customers in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States.

What we collect

We collect as little as we can. Here is the full list.

Email address (only if you give it to us)

Our popup offers $20 off your first purchase. If you sign up, we collect your email address and a record of your consent (what you agreed to, and when). We use it to give you your discount code (shown on screen when you sign up) and, if you agreed, to send occasional product news.

Order data (via Polar)

When you buy Bassurito, checkout is hosted by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar is the seller of record for your order. It processes the payment (through its payment processor, Stripe), calculates and collects taxes such as VAT or sales tax, issues your receipt, and hosts the file download. It collects your name, email, billing country, payment details and tax information. We never see or store your full card details. We receive order information such as your name, email, country, amount paid, order ID and date, so we can deliver the product and support you.

Request data (via our host, Cloudflare)

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (static hosting and content delivery network). To deliver and secure the site, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data (such as browser type, the page requested, the time and the referring page) under its own policies. OAKWYN CORP. does not keep its own server logs.

Analytics and advertising data (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics or advertising cookies in our consent banner, Google, Meta and TikTok tools collect information about your visit. This includes your IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, ad-click identifiers, and events such as an email signup, a click on the checkout button, or a purchase recorded on our thanks page after checkout. See Analytics and advertising.

Storage in your browser

We save a few small entries in your browser: your consent choice, the state of the offer popup, and (for the current tab only) whether the demo’s upgrade nudge was shown. These entries stay on your device and are not sent to us. Your email address is never stored in your browser: it is only sent to Mailchimp when you submit the signup form. What we do not collect

• The in-browser demo runs entirely on your device. No audio, MIDI or pattern data is sent anywhere.
• We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account or precise location data).
• Our fonts are self-hosted, so loading the page does not contact a font service.

Analytics and advertising

We use these tools to understand how people find and use the site, and to run and measure our ads:

• Google Analytics 4 (analytics) and Google Ads (advertising), by Google.
• Meta Pixel (advertising), by Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
• TikTok Pixel (advertising), by TikTok.

Purposes: to measure traffic to the site, to measure how well our ads perform (for example, whether an ad click led to a signup, a checkout click or a purchase), and to show and optimise our ads on Google, Meta and TikTok, including to people who visited our site.

Data categories: IP address; device and browser information; pages viewed and how you reached them; ad-click identifiers (such as Google, Meta or TikTok click IDs in the page link); cookie identifiers; and events such as an email signup or a click on the checkout button. After checkout, our thanks pages (https://bassurito.com/thanks in English and https://bassurito.com/es/thanks in Spanish) record a purchase conversion, only if you consented to analytics or advertising; this event includes the order ID or checkout ID and the purchase value. Our tracking events never include your email address or name.

Your choice is remembered in your browser under the key bassurito.consent, with a timestamp. We ask again after 12 months. You can change your choice at any time (see Your privacy choices).

Each vendor also uses the data under its own privacy policy. The cookies these tools typically set are listed in our Cookie & Storage Policy.

Why we use it

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with these companies, and only as described here:

• Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads) — analytics and advertising data, only with your consent.
• Meta (Meta Pixel) — advertising data, only with your consent.
• TikTok (TikTok Pixel) — advertising data, only with your consent.
• Mailchimp (Intuit Mailchimp, USA) — stores our email list and sends emails. Data is stored in the United States.
• Polar (polar.sh) — our merchant of record. Hosts the checkout and the file download on its own site, processes payment through its payment processor Stripe, handles taxes (VAT / sales tax) and issues receipts. Polar and Stripe use payment data under their own privacy policies and terms.
• Cloudflare — hosts the website (Cloudflare Pages) and processes request data to deliver and secure it, under its own policies.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (the buyer would be bound by this policy).

Sale and sharing of personal information

When you consent to advertising cookies, Google, Meta and TikTok receive information about your visit and may use it to show you our ads on other sites and apps. Under some US state laws (for example, California’s CCPA/CPRA), this may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as “targeted advertising”, or as a “sale” in the broad legal sense. You have the right to opt out of it (see Your privacy choices).

In the last 12 months, the categories that may have been shared this way are identifiers (IP address, cookie and ad-click identifiers) and internet activity (pages viewed and site events), with Google, Meta and TikTok.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you the right to limit it.

Your privacy choices

• Consent banner: use the “Your Privacy Choices” / “Cookie settings” link in the website footer to reopen the banner and turn analytics or advertising off at any time.
• Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we keep advertising cookies off by default. You can still turn them on yourself in Cookie settings.
• Vendor settings: you can also use each vendor’s own ad settings (your Google, Meta and TikTok account ad preferences).
• Industry tools: the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) offer consumer opt-out tools for interest-based advertising.
• Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. See our Cookie & Storage Policy.
• Email: you can also ask us to opt you out by emailing support@bassurito.com.

Opting out of advertising does not mean you will see no ads. It means our ads will not be targeted using data from this site.

Where your information is processed

OAKWYN CORP. is based in the United States, and Bassurito is offered to customers in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States. Our providers (including Google, Meta, TikTok, Mailchimp, Polar, Stripe and Cloudflare) may also process it in other countries under their own policies.

How long we keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. After that we keep only a minimal suppression record (your email address and the date you unsubscribed) so we don’t email you again.
• Order records: 7 years, for tax and accounting purposes.
• Request data: processed by Cloudflare under its own policies. OAKWYN CORP. does not keep its own server logs.
• Analytics and advertising data: kept by Google, Meta and TikTok under their own retention settings and policies. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie & Storage Policy.
• Your consent choice: stored in your browser; we ask again after 12 months.
• Local storage: stays on your device until you clear it. Session storage: cleared when you close the tab.

Your US state privacy rights

Depending on the state you live in (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:

• Access / know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and get a copy of it.
• Delete personal information we hold about you, unless we must keep it by law.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Data portability — get your information in a common format.
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising (see Your privacy choices).
• Not be discriminated against for using these rights.
• Appeal if we decline your request. Reply to our decision and ask us to reconsider.

Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (email, name, IP address, cookie and ad-click identifiers), commercial information (purchase records), and internet activity (pages viewed and site events, with your consent). Sources and purposes are described above.

To make a request, email support@bassurito.com. You may use an authorised agent. We will verify your request before acting and reply within the time the law requires (usually 45 days).

Other jurisdictions

If you access the site from outside the United States, the laws where you live may give you additional rights. Contact us at support@bassurito.com and we will respond as the law that applies to you requires.

Children

Bassurito and this website are not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share it. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We use reputable providers and limit who can access data. We never handle card details ourselves.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires.

Unsubscribing and withdrawing consent

• Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click removes you.
• Or email support@bassurito.com and ask us to remove you.
• Unsubscribing does not cancel a discount code you already received. The offer itself can still end at any time (see the Terms).
• To withdraw consent to analytics or advertising cookies, use the “Your Privacy Choices” / “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell email subscribers before it takes effect.
